About Rosie’s Grooming
Rosie’s Grooming Salon takes its name from Rosie, a Pomeranian-Husky mix, or “Pomski,” and a much-loved family dog. After a grooming appointment with a different groomer left Rosie rushed and visibly stressed, her owner, Nina Burkeland, decided something needed to change, not just for Rosie, but for other dogs going through the same thing.
Nina went back to school, completing the grooming program at Penn Foster Career School and building on prior hands-on grooming experience, then opened Rosie’s Grooming Salon with one goal: give every dog the same calm, careful attention Rosie deserved.
A Different Kind of Grooming Appointment
Rosie’s Grooming Salon is a new business, but it’s built around two ideas that shape every appointment.
Weekend Availability
We’re open Thursday through Sunday, so clients who work a normal Monday to Friday schedule aren’t stuck trying to find a weekday off just to get their dog groomed.
Quality Over Quantity
Appointments aren’t stacked back to back just to fit more dogs into a day. Each dog gets the time their coat and temperament actually need, rather than being rushed through on a schedule built for volume.
A Story Worth Sharing
One client had gone two years without finding a groomer willing to take on her dog’s coat, which had become badly matted and overgrown. After a patient, careful mat removal appointment, her dog was visibly more comfortable, and she was, in her own words, extremely thankful to have finally found a groomer she trusted. Moments like that are exactly why Rosie’s Grooming Salon exists.
